About Katie Seto

Katie has always loved singing for fun but has always had a huge fear of sharing that love except to be silly in a grocery store or similarly unorthodox public setting. In an attempt to help her get over her fears, Katie's aunt Sandra, who has always been a huge supporter of Katie's singing, began taking her out to sing karaoke once per week at a local pub in 2017 (where they thought she was 15 but was actually 22!). Despite the attempt being all-but-futile, with Katie continuing to experience panic attacks even after 2.5 years of practice, she loved it. In early 2020 after a bad breakup, she decided that attending an open mic would be a step toward moving on; a decision that ultimately led Katie to find a real passion for music.

Shortly after the pandemic shut everything down, Katie began live streaming music on Twitch with encouragement from a few friends she met at open mic. Over the following months, she improved her ability to self-accompany on guitar and piano, wrote her first original song in September 2020, and began making a living from streams. Despite being unable to return to regular work due to health concerns, she is now a partnered full-time streamer with 14 complete original songs and many more to come.

What was once a casual hobby and way to embarrass friends and family in public, became a marketable passion and way of self-expression.
